The Utah Children's Choir will present their fall concert at the Mountain Ridge Junior High School auditorium, 5525 W. 10400 North, Highland, on Friday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m. Both the Concert Choir and the UCC Choristers will sing folk music from Israel, Canada and Scotland. Contemporary American works, as well as a piece by Palestrina, will also be presented. Featured guest artists will be the Brown children, sons and daughters of Keith and Lisa Brown of Alpine. Desirae, 16, Deondra, 15, Gregory, 13, Melody, 11, and Ryan, 10, have won a long list of piano competitions in several states and the concert. The symphony orchestra is sponsored by the American Fork Arts Council and in under the direction of Dr. Gordon Childs. Admission is a $2 donation. The orchestra will perform P.I. "Marche Slave" by Tschaikowsky, "Brahms First Symphony" arranged by Vernon F. Leidig, "A Children's Overture" by Richard Cohen, "The Whistler and His Dog" by Arthur Pryor, Tavane High Auditorium, 5525 W. 10400 North, Highland. The theme of the performance will be - "Classical Capers with Children in Mind." The music selected for the performance will be enjoyed by children as well as adults. The Symphony gives families the opportunity to enjoy the Pour Une Infante Defunte" by Maurice Ravel, and "Movie Spectacular" arranged by Jay Bocook. "This concert should please and entertain everybody with its variety and I would cordially invite music lovers of all ages to attend," said Dr. Childs. Bonnie Jean Forbush Anderson Eaton, 66, American Fork, died Oct. 24, 1995 at her home of natur al causes. She was born Oct. 26, 1928 in to Monroe, (Christian) Neilsoh, both of American Fork; Louise (Ronald M.) Marcia Provo; Cartwright, (Joseph) Young, Wallsburg; step- Marsha Evans, Pocatello, Idaho; Sandy Koffell, Dugway; 33 grandchildren; 34 four brothers and two sisters: Maurice Forbush and Morgan Forbush, both of Spanish Fork; Mack Forbush, Taylorsville; Milton Forbush, Santaquin; Lucille Gillian, Orem; Irene Fowler, American Fork. Survivors include one son and four daughters: John D. (Marilyn) Anderson, Alpine; Lynda Quintana Nielsen and Penny (Clyde) Thomas E. She was born March 6,. 1923 in Pleasant Grove. She married David L. Herbert April 29, 1960 in Gibraltar, Spain. from She graduated the University of Utah and later earned a Masters Degree from the University of LaVerne. She taught elementary and high school in Claremont, Calif, from 1963 until her retirement in 1985. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert moved to Richmond in 1991. She enjoyed traveling and completed a trip this year to Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico. She is survived by a daughter, Margo H. Tucker, and Andrew D. Tucker; a sister, Maxine Rose, Salt Lake City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Francis and Margaret Atwood, and her siblings, Fred, Dale, Lynn and Mary. Services were held Monday, Oct. 23, at Hilgenfeld Mortuary in Anaheim, Calif. Burial was the Valhalla Memorial Park in North Bonnie A. Eaton Courtyard "Finlandia."
