Show Citizen. Press, Review - Wed., May 11,1994 P.G. - Valley Center offers a look 'Backstage1 has Page 20 Players stage mysterycomedy The Pleasant Grove Players are presenting the Utah premiere of "A Night at the Hotel Pyramid," a comedy by Lane Riosley, on May 13, 14, 16, 20, 21 and 23 at Dan Clyde a "flair for the funny" that sparks spontaneous at the drop of a hat (or anything else that happens to fall). His antics keep the audience in stitches, as does Michael Gray in his awkward attempts to dance, act, and even answer the door in a proper "butler" manner. Joyce Gunther, the costume designer understudy, is very believable, accent and all. Joyce, by the way, had the interesting honor of tying with herself for first place last year for Best Actress. Other cast members include Janan Sorensen, Shauna Spencer, Erin Archie, Doug Shattuck, Kelly Stone, Debbie Ellis, Elfi Panholzer, Joshua Romney, and understudy, Kent Flowers. The entire cast is great in their; portrayals of not just one, but two roles. Romance, disappointment, and impishness, work together in; spit of lost props, faulty bells and lights, and anything else not found in the script for an evening of good.; entertainment. As Keith says, "It's live enter-- ; tainment, and we never going to happen for sure!" ;'. By ARLOWEEN BARNEY "Backstage" is the hilarious story of "show biz and what it's like behind the scenes. It all begins in the lobby of the Hotel Pyramid in Cairo, Egypt in the summer of 1922. An ancient mummy is stolen by an inscrutable Oriental and the German hotel manager who are pursued by a pagan priest. l t tj Guests in the hotel include Dame Katherine and her nephew, James, a newly ordained vicar; a wealthy American widow and her frail impressionistic daughter; an American actress, aspiring to play Hamlet, and her agent who is kidnapped by pagan priests bent on returning to the Pharaoh's rule. rl , V fit i If.-- ,- iy-V- ' vJUV - 'JJi If JL- r, ' c j : v t y v l Accidentally smoking ancient tannis leaves, the actress turns into Hamlet, the mummy comes to life, and several of the guests are put into a spell. Bringyour family and watch the spell weaved and unraveled before your very eyes. It's great entertainment reminiscent of the old movies of the 40's. The play will be showing through May 30, Monday, Friday, and Saturday, at 7:30 p.m. This particular plot is the result of the many actual humorous and totally surprisingevents which have been the stimulus for some very quick wit on the part of both actor and director. V . ortfe iM to a center-stag- - Keith and Jody Renstrom have been providing quality family entertainment for the past 19 years. Jody has written seven of the plays they've produced and is currently working on another. She says she "loves entertainment," and they have often found themselves "howling at unexpected things happening (backstage), on top of the audience out front laughing at the already funny script." She wanted to let them in on what they weren't seeing. .j know-what'- PG seeks Jr. Rodeo Queen 785-292- The Strawberry Days Jr. Rodeo Queen Contest will be held Saturday, May 21, at the Pleasant Grove Arena at noon. In my practice, I have many of my patients ask me about current & past insurance coverage and how are they covered for current & past accidents? The 'rule of thumb" used in the health care industry is this: Health Insurance: coverage is only good while the policy is "inforcs, and each treatment or office visit must be approved. Workers Compensation Fund: is insurance coverage for the employee paid for by the employer for any accident that occurs at and during work hours. This coverage can be good tor as long as three years after any accident occurs, .(be sure you notify your employer at thetime of the accident to alleviate any problems with claims). Auto 4 Accident Insurance: this coverage is used torany claims you have due to an auto accident, or "on tight property accident that occurred and you are still in any kind ol pain. This coverage is good up to three years afler the acwdent in question oaurred. If you ere having any pain and believe It It due to an accident you had at work or In your or another! car accident. You are covered up to three yean!! This is good even if you did not have problems right 785-700- after the accident in question occurs, and you are suffering from delayed problems now, and the accident occurred as long as (3) three years. A is one that a contractor builds (usually on a singular basis) in hopes of finding a buyer who will purchase it during construction or soon after completion. The buyer who is fortunate enough to be in this enviable position will be able to provide input during construction that concerns some design and material choices.
