She was the fourth child of 13 and she has six brothers and five sisters still living: Sheldon B. Cook, Orem; Thayrel V. Cook, Vernal; Marion S. Cook, Kaysville; Edris Karren, Provo; Arvilla Taylor and Donald S. She is active in the LDS Church and served a mission to San Jose, Calif, from 1987 to 1989.
