Boyd Eugene "Geno" Calton, 48, Lehi, died Dec. 21, 1993 at the American Fork Hospital after along illness. He was born May 23, 1945 in Lehi to Joseph Ella M. Halvorsen Ella Mathilde Halvorsen, 83, cherished mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in Salt Lake uity on unnst-ma- s Eve surrounded by the she family loved. She loved little children and tended her grandchildren for 20 years. The grandchildren lovingly remember that Grandma Faddis always had cookies and soda pop for them when they visited her. Thelma loved to travel and has covered most of the United States at one time or another. She attended the Women's 17th Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., in 1969. While there she took a tour of the nation's capitol and was invited to the White House for a tour and enjoyed a social tea with Mrs. Nixon. She enjoyed going with the Senior Citizens and played in their Fun Band. She took a bus trip with the Senior Citizens to the Grand Canyon, Mesa, Phoenix, Tucson and Havasu City, Arizona; Nogales, Old Mexico, and home through Las Vegas, Nev. Her special hobbies were quilt making, crocheting, handwork and helping her grandchildren with their trousseaux. Samuel Emilton Faddis on June 8, 1921 in Provo and made their first home in Spring Canyon. Their marriage was sealed in the Salt LakeLDSTempleonNov. 11, 1925. Em, as Thelma called him, was a building contractor so they moved several times until they built a home in American Fork. Sam passed away on July 12, 1964. Thelma lived at 105 N. 100 West, American Fork. They had three children: Karl Faddis, Lehi; Beth Allred, Anaheim, Calif.; and Dora Young, Orem. She is the proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren, and four 60 Shehas one living, Florence Platsky, American Fork. Since her husband's death, Thelma has lived alone and kept herself busy. She worked as a Primary teacher and as a Relief Society visiting teacher. She enjoyed genealogical research, record keeping and writing histories.
