(Photo by Squires Photography) The roaring 20's musical comedy, "Jake's Comer," returns Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Valley Center Playhouse, 780 N. 200 East, Lindon. "Jake's Corner" takes place in where he Jake Grody's speak-easis trying to get things ready for opening night. While Jake is shaping up the chorus girls' numbers for the grand opening, he is also being constantly threatened by "Big Al's' mobsters. When the new girl, Susan, arrives in town, romance blossoms between Susan and a mobster, Chuck. All the characters are delightfully right out of the 20's, especially 'Lt. Nelliott Hess' and Big Al's girlfriend, 'Veronica.' The auditions are to be held at the American Heritage School in Pleasant Grove, 100 E. 125 North. Tuesday, June 22.
