Anyone who is not a "regular" on the lunch list should call the center, by 1p.m. Thursday, May 6 to make reservations for the din768-716- nerprogram. A free blood pressure clinic will also be held the same day from 10 a.m. until noon. Seniors are encrfuraged to make appointments for the Wellness Clinic, which will be held on Friday, May 2 1 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Appointments are required for the clinic. A special Medicaid presentation will also be given on Friday, May 2 1 at 11:30 a.m. The information is vital for anyone, including children of seniors, needing information on the program. Menus for the coming week: Thursday, May 6: Baked pork steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, whole kernel corn, cole slaw, fresh fruit, white roll and milk. Friday, May 7. Merkley will celebrate his 80th birthday at an open house Saturday, May 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the American Fork LDS Stake Center, 240 S. Center. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. He requests no gifts. Floyd was born May 10, 1913 in Wapello, Idaho to Ray Edgar and Frances Estella Peterson. He was married Nov. 22, 1945 to M. Madge Stephens in Blackfoot, Idaho. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They have five children: Sharon Christian, Rhome, Texas; Irene Mead, Ferron, Utah,; Richard Merkley, American Fork; Brenda LeLeeuw, Manti; and Mark Merkley, South Jordan. Theyhave 19 grandchildren and 16 Floyd graduated from BYU in 1935 and retired as a loan officer from the Geneva Federal Credit Union.
