Show Free Press - Wednesday, February 17, 1993 - Bishopric sustained in Lehi Fifth Ward By RUSS DALY Randy Hunt was recently sustained as bishop of the Lehi 5th Ward, with Jerry Hunter and Randy Sermon as counselors. The outgoing bishopric included Bishop William Powell, Scott Anderson and Stephen Peterson. Ronald T. Harris was retained as executive secretary and Davis A Peterson was named to succeed Glade Kirkham as ward clerk. Elder's Quorum president and a member of the high council. Jerry Hunter, formerly of American Fork, married Nicki Peck, the daughter of Faye Peck of Lehi and the late Thomas Peck. The new first counselor is employed as a truck driver. The Hunters are the parents of five children, one of whom is now serving in the Japan Tokyo South Mission. Randy Sermon, a Rigby, Idaho native, is married to Kathy Hunt, daughter of Elwood and Ina Hunt of Lehi. He and his wife are the parents of five daughters. He is a general contractor by trade and has previously held church callings as scoutmaster, Elder's Quorum president, and a member of the Sunday School and Young Men's presidencies. Bishop Hunt was born in Lehi to Elwood and Ina Hunt. He married Lisa Holcomb, daughter of Lester and Rhoda Holcomb, also of Lehi. They have four children: Jake, Jaclyn, Danny and Suzy. He calls himself a "hired killer," but is otherwise known professionally as an exterminator.
