Pre-nupti- al Olympian Club hears from Dr. Barbara Vance The monthly meeting of the Olympian Club was held last week at the lovely home of June Newwere Mary Peman. terson and Audrey Davis. Josephine Chatfield gave a report on the progress of the club's civic project, purchasing a new flag and flag pole for the city building complex. Club members have contributed money towards the project and will aid in the project's completion. Dr. Barbara Vance, Professor of Family Sciences at BYU and a renown child an family psycholo- gist was guest speaker. Dr. Vance is a volunteer associate to the of AARP. Her job is to inform the public about issues facing citizens in their vin- tage years. She is a world traveler and is an example of courage and strength. She suffered a massive stroke, but still leads a very productive and active life. Club members enjoyed her inspirational message. Doris Gardner gave the legislative report which involved comments from Richard G. Wilkins, a leader in the state legislature. He spoke on Utah's controversial abortion Jannilyn Miller, Kevin Edwards to marry in Jordan River Temple The bride-to-b- e graduated from Lehi High School and LDS Seminary. She served as a member of the seminary council. She attended UVCC, and is currently employed at First Secu- rity Bank. Her fiance graduated from Carbon High School and served in the armed forces during Desert Storm. He is currently attending UVCC, majoring in electrical engineering, and is employed at RT Manufacturing. The couple will make their first home in Orem. 500 West. Attending the bride as matron of honor will be Sharie Miller, with Bonnie Ewell, Jenny Carter, Jill Edwards and Lori Edwards serving as bridesmaids.
