Show Citizen, Press, Review- - WecL, June 26, Keep preferences to yourself Dear Ann Landers: I have noticed that over the yean you have discussed the topic of homosexuality with an open mind. I also know that many of your readers are sick and tired of hearing about discrim against gays. L too, am fed up listening to them whine about the prejudice they face because of their sexual preference. Before you call me a homophobe, let me tell you that I am gay. I am writing to offer a little advice to the young person who is contemplating coming out of the closet. The biggest mistake I ever made was to tell my parents I am a homosexual. They accepted it at first, or pretended to, but as time went on my confession causes so much trouble that I wish I had left well enough alone. I have never been discriminated against at work or anywhere'else. Maybe it's because I don't march in parades, make speeches, or dress in a bizarre fashion that would draw attention to myself. Ok, I said it and now the gay rights groups can slap me around. They will call me a coward, say I am totally crazy, and insist that I do not speak for the majority. So be it. I am speaking for myself. My advice to all gays is this: Keep your mouth shut. Live your life and don't try to justify what you are. Intelligent people accept it and to hell with the rest. Frankly, I am Sick and Tired of Hearing About It (Montana) - Dear Montana: Not all gays will agree with what you have written. Moreover some parents of gays are extremely supportive of their children. Let me take a look at that wrist." Port dismounted. He was amazed at the child's good looks fine facial features, clear black eyes. Someday the boy would grow into a handsome brave. Port knelt down, reaching out to touch the wrist. The child pulled it away. Til push you down and sit on you if that's what it takes," Port said sternly. While the child didn't understand the words, he did understand the intent, and he reluctantly offered his injured wrist. The forearm didn't appear broken, just sprained. Port removed his bandanna and wrapped it tightly around the wrist. Then he got up and walked over to the Indian he had shot. The big brave was dead. Port picked up the rifle and headed back to the child. "Want to come with me?" he asked. There was no answer. Port nodded for the boy to follow him back to his horse. As the boy got to his feet, there was something in the way he moved that caused Port to start laughing. - afBn? ftciiD offeis strife $miH xmm8 fornix $qxd tiS& ftHRi (HUB UOBXi) rffiAllMKH, Oktf UXIktP (tAWod) fTFirfl cmiiiMitedli cixd CRmn (boot) WkP ft As he looked closer at the confused child, he laughed harder.
