Watte, American Fork, are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kimberiee, to Brad M. Slater, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Marvin Slater, American Fork. The couple will exchange vows in the Salt Lake IDS Temple on March 4. A reception will honor the newlyweds that same evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the American Fork West Stake Center, 165 N. 350 West. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Attending the bride will be Tara Carnesecca, Jenny Jensen, Falecia West, Kelli and Keri Watts, Julie and Katie Slater. Best men duties will be performed by Rod Slater and Chris Keller, with Bart, Bret and Blain Watts and Ryan and Travis Slater serving as groomsmen. is a graduate of The bride-to-b- e American Fork High School and LDS Seminary. She has been a cheerleader and in Cavettes. She attended Utah Valley Community College and is now employed at Smith's in American Fork. The prospective groom is a graduate of American Fork High School and LDS Seminary. He attended Ricks College and fulfilled an IDS mission in Cleveland, Ohio. Brad attended Utah Valley Community College and is employed in Provo. He plans to continue his education. The couple will make their first home in Pleasant Grove. - JT ? Bob Webb to be i ? m - J! ' S Joe and Mae Manning Mannings to be honored Joe and Mae Manning will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house in the Lehi West Stake Center, 1920 N. 500 West, Saturday, March 5, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. All friends are invited to attend The Mannings were married March 7, 1938 in Billings, Mont. They have three sons: Tom, of Phoenix, Ariz, and Dale and Michael, both of Lehi. Joe has a daughter, Esther, Red Bluff, Calif., from a previous marriage. They have 17 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Joe was an iron worker and retired from Local Union 27. He also volunteered for many years on the Provo Elks Club Charity and scholarship committees. Mae retired from Sprouse Reitz in American Fork after many years as a clerk. Before that she worked for Davis Market in Lehi. Both have kept busy in recent years with a variety of church assignments and as workers in the Lehi Senior Citizens organization. Lehi Stake Old Folks Day The annual Lehi Stake Old Folks Day will be held Saturday, April 16. Older citizens in the stake are being reminded to mark the date on their calendars and make plans to attend. Theme for the gala party is "In the Good Old Summer Time" and the highlight of the day will be the noon Eriy luncheon cooked by the Old Folks Cooks. These experienced cooks annually whip up a delicious meal for the older citizens to enjoy. The senior citizens will also enjoy program during the afternoon's activities. a delightful honored on birthday In honor of his 80th birthday, the family of R. Ward Webb has planned an open house for Saturday, March 5. The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Colonial House, 187 W. Main, Lehi. All friends and relatives are invited. The family requests no gifts please. Webb was born Feb. 11, 1908 in Lehi, to Bernard Graham and Clara Lena Rothe Webb. He has two brothers, Robert and Richard, and three sistersr: Mrs. Cleon (Vernett) Tidwell, Mrs. Albert (Blanche) Smith, and Mrs. Wes (Mabel) Jense, now deceased. Webb grew up in Lehi and on Sept. 10, 1930 he married Thelma Goates in the Salt Lake IDS Temple. Two children were born to them, Donna and Kenneth. Thelma died Oct. 9, 1964, and Webb married Dorene Layne Peterson June 2, 1966 in the Alberta LDS Temple. At this time, he has two children, five stepchildren, 33 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. By trade, he worked as a farmer and gave service as president of the Lehi Irrigation Company. One of his fondest memories was being appointed chairman of the state Agriculture Stabilization Kimberlee Watts, Brad M.
