Morris & Anna Lynette become family Lynette Miller wishes to announce the marriage of her mother, Lynette Morgan Miller, to Michael Lloyd Morris. The couple was married Jan. 8, with Bishop Craig Berry officiating, with family and close friends witnessing the ceremony. Lynette is the daughter of Ronald and Connie Morgan. Michael is the son of Lloyd and Linda Morris. Michael attended Lehi High Anna School, graduated from LDS Seminary and is an Eagle Scout. He fulfilled an LDS mission in the Puerto Rico Mission. He is now attending Utah Technical College. Lynette attended Lehi High, graduated from LDS Seminary and also graduated from Continental Beauty School as a licensed cosmetologist. The couple will make their home in Lehi. Air Force Maj. Gordon Powell earns Meritorious Service Medal Air Force Maj. Gordon K. Powell, son of Keith S. and Maxine Powell, Lehi, has been decorated with the Meritorious Service Medal at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. The Meritorious Service Medal is awarded specifically for outmeritorious standing achievement or service to the non-comb- United States. Powell is chief of the Applications and Analysis Branch with the 1859th Computer Systems Squadron. His wife, Stephaney, is the daughter of Frank J. and Darthel Pike, Spanish Fork. Musical com Reflections is the national PTA's nationwide cultural arts program that encourages children to excel in the visual arts, literature and music. Competition is held on local school, city, school district, state and national levels. This year, in honor of PTA's 90th birthday, the theme is "In Celebration, a Past to Remember, a Future to Mold." Entries may be submitted in three categories: visual arts (painting, drawing, collage, prints, photography), music and literature. All entries in each category must relate directly to this year's theme. Unless the work clearly expresses or relates to the theme, the theme must be used in the title or subtitle. Visual arts entries should be unframed but must be mounted on must be submitted on standard music manuscript paper (non-spirsides). positions It is strongly recommended that a tape of the composition be sub- mitted together with the manuscript. All compositions must be written by the individual student. Literature entries may be written or typed, but the work must be done by the student. Elementary schools have sent notes home explaining their rules and deadlines. Students having questions should contact their PTA presidents or their school offices.
