Pioneer wrestlers trounce Grantsville in region outing "Wrestlers at Lehi were on a high last week after a resoudning 60-win over Grantsville in their second league outing of the 1985-8- 6 season. With seven pins, the Pioneer grapplers completely dominated the Cowboys who have never been known for their strong wrestling program. This victory came off the heels of a 2 loss to the defending 2A state champion Wasatch 12, and a close second-plac- e finish to American Fork in the Lehi hosted with Provo and Bear River finishing behind Lehi. The Pioneers were only two points behind the Cavemen, Lehi's senior, Scott Anderson, was selected the ouwrestler in the tourtstanding Kimball nament. Anderson, 9 first-roun- d 51-1- 131-12- 119-pou- Or one of several $100 shopping sprees and many other valuable prizes! Messersmith, Vong Carter and Neil Gray all won gold. Second-plac- e finishers were Scott Peterson, Bart Fourth-placer- s Gray and Jared Buhler. were Matthew Busk, Joe Grant, Sean Lambert and Randy Rafiner. In winning the heavyweight title, N. Gray defeated last year's 3A state champion from Provo. Anderson is undefeated atll9 (although he lost to last year's 2A state winner at 126 from Wasatch). Carter and N. Gray are undefeated - Carter at 132 and 138 and Gray in the heavy. Carbon High brought their team to Lehi last night and Morgan will invade the Pioneer domain Thursday.
