As Red Cross Executive Director here in the Central Utah Chapter, he has been actively involved with an organization which is largely funded by United Way. Although Eddington works indirectly with the United Way on a regular basis, he still manages to devote more of his time to the organization directly. This year, he is the Special Gifts Division Chairman for United Way fundraising campaign. Like most of the other campaign leadership staff, Eddington has served the United Way in various positions in the past. This year, however, he anticipates that he will spend more volunteer hours than ever before working with Special Gifts. He is responsible for involving retired individuals and small businesses in the Utah County area in this year's campaign Eddington aays he believes that those people who are retired can be a valuable asset to the United Way. "The United Way provides an opportunity for retired citizens to get involved." Eddington won't be alone in his work with small businesses in the area. He has recruited nine area chairmen to help in the various counties. The area chairmen are as follows: Lehi-D-ee Fowler, American Fork-Ev- an Brady, Pleasant Grove-Ru- th Orem-Kei- th Hassenfritz, Provo-Ga- ry Claw son, Carter, Fork-RichHillier, Spanish ard Geneva Recreation Announces 1983 Tour Schedule jf . Becuaae he believes that United wiy is the most effective way to raise charitable for needed funds organizations, Eddington believes that small businesses in the area will be able to see the value of United Way. Because he has been involved with the Red Cross for several years, he has seen United Way funds in action. One example of the kind of aid the Red Cross provides for individuals occured when a Provo family, who was in a foreign country, became victims of a serious traffic accident. Three bones make up the pelvic girdle, the two hip bones and a triangular shaped bone called the sacrum. When this structure is out of alignment, it can cause strain throughout the body, including the shoulder area. When the pelvic girdle is out of balance and not supporting your body the way it should, the body tries to adapt as best it can. But this adaptation only causes more problems. What causes the pelvic girdle to get out of balance? Poor posture may be one cause. A spinal column out of alignment may be another. Only a full examination can get to the cause of the problem. A body on a proper foundation is important to your physical health. Your shoulder pain may be directly related to a structural imbalance that needs to be corrected before the pain will go away. well-balanc- In the interest of better health from the office of: Dr. Robert A.
