There will be an instruction period from 6 to 7 p.m. for the first two weeks where new teams, or those returning can become more familiar with the rules. They can also get in a little court practice. Teams will begin stake play at 7 p.m. Co-E- Team members should contact for schedules ward athletic directors and rules. The one problem that can stop this is for parents to bring program . Mike 250 Hamby, pound defensive tackle for the Utah State Aggies is considered one of the h Aggies' types by Aggie football coaches. Hamby was in on nearly 100 plays in nine games last fall as a freshman. He has the makeup to become a very solid, contributing member of the defensive line as a sophomore. Mike, recruited by the Aggies, went to USU with unusual quickness for his size and has worked extremely hard to prove his strength. He seems ticketed for extensive playing time ; this second year on the collegiate 6-- 5, diamond-in-the-roug- $ f ride i home for the wasoaleng last Friday as they left Delta with their first defeat under their belts. The score read 0 for the Rabbits even though Lehi had led most of the game. It was a tough battle Pioneers 12-1- nose-to-nos- e where Delta managed to eke out one more first down than Lehi. They had more rushing yardage and many more penalties. But Lehi with Brett Nattress in good form beat the Rabbits in the passing department with 122 yards for Delta to 207 for Lehi. Brett kicked a field goal to go ahead then Lehi powered their way to a touchdown after a drive. Todd Street plunged into paydirt climaxing the drive. Nattress kicked the extra point. Delta scored a touchdown in the final quarter to cut Lehi's lead then followed that up with another touchdown to take the lead. Besides leading the Pioneer's offense at the quarterback position, Nattress has taken over kicking chores and is doing very well at both positions. Citato to Coach Andrus feels like the loss was a learning experience for his Pioneers and "if you learn something you really haven't lost," Andrus said. The game was a affair and their next challenge will be against Jordan at Jordan Friday, September 10 at 3 p.m. Lehi's record is 1 ; a win against a 3A school and a loss against a 2A school. This leaves things pretty much in the air. Just how good are the Pioneers? This question will partially be answered this Friday as they Beet-diggbattle with the always-toug- h crew.
