August It. 182 - Page 13 School District Announces Policy For Free And Registration Announced For Mothers' High School Alpine School District Mothers' High School announces first semester regis tgratkm on August 2S, 1982. School begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday. August 26. Eligibility for enrollment is based on: 1. Residency in Alpine School District or previous attendance in a district high school. 2. Motherhood (regardless of age) or pregnancy. The purpose of the school is to provide an opportunity for high school graduation for girls who left school to become a mother. The program is geared to meet the needs and limited time of mothers. A book deposit of $10.00 should be paid at the time of registration. This deposit will be refunded at the end of the school year. The school includes a free nursery for children. Credit may be earned for the 15 units required for a high school diploma. School hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every regular school day. Required basics of English, Science, Math and History are offered along with electives such as Food 1 and II, Children's Clothing, Type, Sociology of Home Living, and Parenting.
