March 4, 1982 - Page 12 New Business Opens In Lehi Relief Society Plans Women's Conference The Lehi North Stake Relief Society is currently implementing (dans for its first annual Women's Conference, March 20. The conference, slated for a 9 a.m. opening will feature seminars and a salad-ba- r luncheon. The conference will be held in the h Ward meetinghouse, 1900 North 500 West. Janice Kapp Perry, popular local composer and lyricist will address the general session, incorporating her songs in the presentation. Mrs. Perry, Provo, wrote the music for the current musical "It's a Miracle," and is the 1982 Ensign magazine winner in the song division. Participants can choose three of the offered and will nine rotate every 40 minutes. Built around a BYU education week format, the subjects offered include fitness at home, medical concerns for women and unique family home evening helps. Other topics are handling Third-Fifteent- stress, time management, strengthening your marriage, opportunities for single sisters, and helps for working women. - - is now underway in the nine wards of the stake. Additional information is available through the ward Relief Society education counselor. JoAnn Smith, stake Relief Society president, said "This is the most exciting event we've ever undertaken and we invite all Relief Society sisters over 18 to a part of it." Dale Burgess. "We hope to be able to make this an annual affair with all of our fifth and sixth graders participating," Mr. Burgess said. Under the direction of sixth grade teacher David Cox, all fifth and sixth graders were invited to enter projects. A total of 41 entries were received with a total of 54 students participating. First place was won by Scott Baird with his project and exhibit of "Comparing Plant Growth." Second place went to Julie Oldham and Elyse White for their Sociology study into whether sleep and eating habits affect school work.
