Valley Players in Kaaren Jorgen’s version of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Caro ” called “Miz Scrooge.” This comedy/drama is about Emma Lisa Scrooge (Katrina Funk), a modern day business woman, and her underpaid employee, Babs Crachett (Hillary Rees), who’s daughter Timothea (Emily Stock) needs a hip replacement, and who’s mother Lulu (Livi Kulander) is crazy. Scrooge meets a trio of Christmas ghosts and is....taken into the past by Marlene (Sarah Stock) to see herself (Hope Kahui) and her boyfriend Billy (Kristen Shelburg)....to the present at Miss Crachett’s by Girty (Kristen Shelburg)....and told about her probable future by Zelda (Chandra Paetsch). So we invite you to come see the Castle Valley Players Thursday, Dec. 5th at 1 pm at HMK elementary school in Moab or on Friday, Dec. 6th at 7pm at the Castle Valley LDS Church . Come and have fun! ! ——Chandra Paelsch - Four Years Coming CV TIMES SUBSCRIPTIONS For many years the CV Times has been debating whether to continue the policy of distributing free copies at the front gate. We liked the idea of having a free community paper. On the other hand, this system has not worked all that well for many residents of the valley. Recent vandalism at the front gate area (all the community notice boards and the CV Times distribution box were stolen) has prompted us to encourage the change to subscriptions. While another box will probably be made, it will only be used for a short time. Many residents had found it difficult to pick up a copy of the C V Times for many reasons. It was particularly difficult for those working outside the valley, since there might not be copies remaining at the front gate when they were returning from work. More copies have been sent out via subscriptions than have been distributed at the front gate for some time. The change to subscriptions, therefore, is not as much of a change as it might seem. Subscriptions are simply a much more reliable way for people to get the CV Times. The CV Times continues as a completely volunteer endeavor with no one making any money. Printing costs have been about 52 cents a copy, and mailing cost is usually 32 cents a BED AND BREAKFAST SURVEY RESPONSES —More CV Times, p. 3 (115 Surveys were answered and returned) Survey Questions: DONATIONS APPRECIATED: Thanks this month to Steve & Lea 1.
