Show 6 - FLAMING TIMES - AUGUST 15, 1995 COMMUNITY MEETINGS NOTES FROM THE PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION The POA Board Meeting on August 2, 1995 was attended by George Ottinger, Melody Taylor and Rebecca Martin. The Public Comment Session was uneventful with general participation by the public throughout the meeting. The Treasurer's Report included a summary of outstanding POA dues: $8,969, not including the most recent interest. Progress is apparent in the effort to secure payment of these dues. Old and new business included updates on all current projects. Resolution of a complaint about trash build-up from a lot owner is in sight. Plans are in motion to move POA records to Lois' office as soon as a signed agreement is completed. George tried to clarify some current ambiguities with respect to differences between possible types of road easements Martin at 4319, or drop a note in the POA mailbox at the Town Lot. October 14, 1995, will be the date for the '95 Annual Meeting of the POA Membership. Because of current construction on the LDS Branch building, the place and time for the meeting are still undecided and will be announced here and in the annual POA mailing. Four Board members will be elected on October 14th. If you are interested in becoming a TOWN COUNCIL— AUGUST 9,1995 Jake Burnett was appointed to the Planning Commission. The Castle Valley Scholarship was awarded to Nicole Wagstaff and Ruth Saunders. It was decided to have a number of work sessions in order to get through the survey results. It was also decided to have a work shop after the annual POA meeting in October to discuss different community issues. There was discusssion on many different topics from the watershed ordinance to building permit policies. Draft #4 of the watershed ordinance is about ready to send off to the Town attorney for review. August 22, 1995 is the deadline to file for Town Council candidate for the POA Board, nominations will be made at the September 6 meeting (which gets your name on the ballot to go out to all property owners and in the Castle Valley Times for September). Last minute candidacy is possible by announcing your interest at the annual meeting. positions for the election this November. Melody Taylor and Pam Devore will complete a review of the 1994 ballots by next month's meeting. _ Research continues on the fpurchase of a copy machine. The need for a safety deposit box/fire— proof filing box has disolved with the information that the POA does, in fact, already own a fire—proof filing cabinet (surprise!)
