Recent tests have shown he is now making excellent progress He is but one of dozens of tested and infants benefiting from the new equipment. The use ol the machine comes as a cooperative arrangement between the Medical Center and Dr. Gerald R. Moress, Salt Lake neurologist and member of the medical staff at Prima ry Children's. Dr. Moress has placed the $17,000 unit in the hospital to make it available for those in various medical fields interested in its use as a diagnostic tool. The ability of the machine to test infants is particularly interesting for a variety of reasons. Certain tumors of the brain are more common in the young than in adults. While other methods ol testing often have difficulty locating tumors positioned in the brain stem area, the BSER machine is often effective in determining their presence.
