Show Pincers Bonn Eagles Lehi's Pioneers came charging back suffering a 12-3- at Pleasant 5 after beating Grove to down bring Eagles in a league contest. The score, 42-- 0 was indicative of the power used in the Pioneer's attack. Where, in previous games, the Pioneer backfield couldn't get unharnessed, they came loose to score six touchdowns and one field goal. Layne Garden scored twice to pace Lehi's win in Region Nine football action. Jeff Jones scored on a run and a interception return by Chris Geyerman added two more scores. John Geyerman pushed in from the one yard line and a' pass from Chris Geyerman to Gary Burningham worked for another score. Mike Ellison really got going by kicking three extra points and aided the cause with a field goal. The Pioneers finally moved on the ground game and rushed for 172 yards. Passing netted them 52 yards and they held the Eagles to 71 yards rushing and 56 via the air. All contestants and their parents will be guests of honor at a banquet, and will have the opportunity to visit with the players from both teams.
