St-?t- -- pr 13? 7 Senior Citizens Plan Trip to Hunter Lake Powell Safety Classes Planned A trip to Lake three-da- y Powell on October 24, 25 and 26 is being planned for all Lehi senior citizens. The trip will cost $68.00 for double bed and $72.00 for single bed. There will be room on the bus for 38 people. The first 38 who have paid will be eligible to go. The week-lon- g camp was headquartered at SUSC; this session was held 25 miles northwest of ELTON, Students Attend Range Youth Camp Two Utah County students are attending a Range Youth Camp this week at Southern Utah State College. Collette Ashley, Cedar Valley, and Bonnie Elton, Cedar Fort, are among the 24 Utah students selected to attend the jointly sponsored camp under the direction of SUSC and the Utah Section, Society for Range Management, an information organization dedicated to the proper management or rangeland resources. "The Range Youth Camp is designed to show youngsters the value of careful range management and to encourage promising students to pursue careers in the field," Fee Busby, program director, said. "Included in the week-lon- g agenda have been studies in general range management, plant identification, range condition and trends, ranch planning, range improvements, of range lands, multiple-us- e and range ecology," Dr. Busby, Utah State University Department of Range Science, said. The group spends most of the day in the field, staying at the 3,000-acr- e SUSC College Ranch each night. They also visit the SUSC campus daily for indoor academic sessions under the direction of Dr. James E. Members of the Utah Section, Society for Range Management, have sponsored Range Youth Camps for the past five years, Busby said. Students attending the camp are nominated by their county agents and by the vocational agriculture teachers at their respective schools. A home town team walked away with the championship of the annual Lehi Pioneer Tournament last Saturday night at Vets Park. The program began with the pledge of allegiance and pledge led by Geri Gumey, Corey Crittenden and Leslie Price. Sandra Gray offered the opening prayer. A style dress revue was presented with girls enrolled in clothing projects modeling a variety of attractive dresses, skirts and blouses.
