Last Friday evening, Kopper Kettle Katering provided the dinner for the Mens Golf Association banquet. Mr. Lewis' business began operating at the clubhouse on March I after learning that he had obtained rights for the cream. She has worked for Mr. Lewis in the Main Street restaurant for the past two years. In addiiMin to Ihe snack bar service, the business will serve breakfast from 10 a.m. on the weekdays and from 7 a.m. on weekends. He has rented land to grow crops for his stock. As he has grown in his project program he has purchased farm equipment to help i produce and harvest his crops. He now has an inventory of 54 beef animals. As a second project. Kent has produced swine. He now owns three sows, a boar, a gilt, and thirteen feeders. He has grown feed for his pigs and has calculated his own rations with a feed conversion of 3.6 pounds of feed per pound of grain. Kent's F.F.A. activities have been many. He was a chapter officer for two years, serving last year as president. He has exhibited livestock and farm mechanics projects at various fairs and shows. Kent was State Star Green-hanChapter Star Farmer and State Farmer degree winner in livestock production. He was a member of the livestock judging team that won first place in the state and a bronze award in the national contests. He was State Star Farmer last year and won the two awards this year. His beef production records will now be submitted for the Western States Regional competition. The American Farmer degree will be presented at the National FFA Convention in Kansas City. ,, , Kent is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Busman and would like to give them public acknowledgment for their help and support in his many achievements. J -- KENT BUSHMAN Kent Bushman Wins Two F.F.A. Honors Kent Bushman of the Lehi of America organization won two coveted awards at the State FFA Convention last Friday in Salt Lake City. Kent was named a candidate to receive the American Farmer degree, the highest award given in the FFA organization. He also won the state award for beef production and was presented a check for $100.00 from the F.F.A. foundation. Utah County Bureau Women's Committee chairman, en Farm thusiastically met with ladies of each local to discuss the follow ing coming events: April 1. He plans to continue his service in the scouting program. Jay has enjoyed working in the Explorer program and says there are exceptionally good leaders in the Lehi District and in Area II. He had the opportunity to attend the Congress last year and developed a strong desire to attend in 1977. He asked the assistance of the local merchants in Lehi and is most grateful and wishes to thank the following merchants: Eldred, Merrill and Kay Fox Dairy Farm, State Bank of Lehi, National Guard of Lehi, Dr. William Miller, Greenwoods Carpels, Lehi Drug, Super Quality Market, Dalleys, Penrodsand Lehi Free Press. Also his sister Cindy and his parents. Without the help of the above people Kurt Arthur Harding, I.I, attained the rank of an Eagle Scout in Court of Honor ceremonies held recently. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arlhur Harding were in attendance and his father presented the Eagle to Kurt. He's a member of Troop Nine and Sheldon Ewell is his scoutmaster. Kurt is now serving as first counselor in his deacon's quorum and also is patrol leader. He has served as secretary for the deacons and as assistant patrol leader. His hobbies include camping, fishing and hunting. He plays guitar and also participated in the Bantam Basketball program. He is a student at Lehi Junior High School. tinguishcr.
