Survivors include his parents; three brothers, Bob, Ron and Niles Bartleson. all of Ephrata. Washington; grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. James L. Farreil, Lehi; Mrs. June L. Lang, Glendale. Oregon; and Mr. Ronald J. Bartleson. Spokane, Washington. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary, Lehi. officiated by Bishop Herb Ferrel. Venice Rogers played the prelude and postlude music and Don Goller offered the prayer with family members. W.UROYOKEY W. LeRcy Oiey UidtoRest Bishop Herb Ferrell LeRoy Okey, 78. American Fork, died Feb. 28, in the American Fork Hospital after a lingering illness. He was born Dec. 16, 1898 in American Fork a son of Joseph M. and Cynthia Adams Okey. He married Florence L. Thrasher Oct. 24, 1917. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti IDS Temle. She died in October 1971. He married Lola Cook Nov. 3, 1972 in the Salt Lake IDS Temple. He was associated with Draper Poultry for many years and later worked at the Utah County Assessors Office. He was a high priest at the time of his death and served for several years as ward clerk. Julie Gray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Gray, and an eighth grade student at the Lehi Junior High School, has been named winner of the Sertoma Club essay contest. Miss Gray placed first in the local contest and also was named winner of the county competition. Julie won a $25 savings bond in the local contest and was awarded another $25 prize for winning the area contest. Earning second place at the Lehi Junior High School was Ricky Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Smith; with Tammy Crandall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Crandall, third. They report that even though the Lehi Junior High School is the smallest one competing, this is the third time within the last five years one of its students has won the county contest. The contest is sponsored annually by the Sertoma Club and always has a patriotic theme. To name the winners, they annually present a patriotic assembly at the school during the month of February. This promotion of freedom among students is one of the many projects of the club, which is headquartered in the Provo-Orearea. Crossman and Julie Loveridge, received flowers and honorable mention from Kaye Powell who conducted the meeting. A Tops necklace and a corsage were presented to Shawna Millett for first place, division 3. An award certificate and a trophy went to Una Jones for best attendance, and certificates were given to Fawn Taylor, Ha Pulley and Shirley Scown for 75 percent or better attendance.
