Show Athenian Club - Hutclfiyg- MUSLIM During the months of December and January the John Hutchings Museum has been on vacation as it is each VI year for cleaning purposes. e wish to thank our two "Green Thumb" attendants Alta Clark and Ruth Curtis for their help with this, along with the daily routine functions of the museum. Their friendly and cooperative personalities are indeed an asset to the museum. In addition to the many persons who visited the museum as individiaus in 1976, some 2,917 persons visited in organized group tours. This number represented groups from high, junior high and elementary schools. Fireside groups, young adults. S.U.P.. care centers, scouts, cub scouts, hospital auxiliaries, educational school clubs also attended. Of this number, only 223 peo- - Myrol 'Bert' Despain Dies, Funeral Sat. Myrol A. "Bert" Despain. husband of the former Ruby Brown of Lehi and brother of Orval Despain of Lehi, died Monday, Jan. 17. at his home in Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held at the Wing Mortuary in Lehi on Thursday eveing from 7 until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in the South Cottonwood 11th Ward Chapel, 1260 East 4800 South, Salt Lake City. Burial will be in the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. Meets at Goates Home The January meeting of the Athenian Club was held at the home of Georgida M. Goates. Visitors from other countries came from Switzerland and Okinawa. The oldest person who signed the registry was 89 years of age and the youngest two and three-fourth- s years of age. Although the founder and curator, John Hutchings. does not attend the museum daily, he extends the invitation for more of Lehi's peope to visit the interesting and educational facility in 1977. The doors will be open again in February with the hours remaining unchanged: from 9 a.m. to I p.m. for group tour appointments; I p.m. through 5 p.m. for the general public; and evenings by appointment only. See you at the Museum! The Legislative Council report was given by Ruby M Lee. Speakers at the December meeting were Dr David Wright and Arnold Isaacson.
