Show i If 4 I Letters to the Editor 0 (7Jv if SSf ROBERT CHATFIELD Funeral Rites For Robert F. Chatfield Sportsmen! We. the "Wild Game Club inc." are concerned for the management of all Utah's game. We feel that there is a desperate need for game control on our mountains and farm land. And we strongly believe that those of you who are serious about hunting, know what we are talking about. The deer are quite rapidly declining. The pheasant and quail in most areas are practically "no more." The only way, and we mean the only way we are going to stop this decline is for the people, the hunters and sportsmen who are looking to the future for more hunting experience, to rally around the efforts we are taking, as a game club, to establish better management on the part of all of us. In order to make these efforts come to pass, we will need the true and positive concern of each one of you to support us in the things that you ' and I can look forward to every hunting season. The deer are in desperate need of a protected winter feeding ground. This, is one project we look forward to being accomplished. We have sent to the House and Senate the "Four Year Buck Only" law which we strongly feel is a start to increase our deer herds. This law has not yet been passed, but it won't pass unless the majority of the people want it to be passed. Another big problem is Elk! Those few herds that are around, need a little boost to get going, and grow strong, healthy herds. We could name things all day that could be done to preserve and make better the management of this state concerning wild life. We strongly feel that those of you who have read and take this serious, know what has to be done. If you are truly concerned for this action we are attempting, that you will do your utmost to be to our next club meeting. We need your opinions, ideas and support to If: I f - Funeral services were held last Thursday for Robert Felt Chatfield who died March 16 in the American Fork Hospital. Bishop Donald S. Milton W. Russon, Sr. Bishop Palmer expressed sympathy to the family commending Mrs. Chatfield and her son and daughters for their spirit of togetherness and caring. A beautiful arrangement of the hymn "Oh Divine Redeemer" was sung by Nadine R. Miller. She was accompanied by Carol Peck. The biographical sketch was prepared and read by Afton Burgess. She spoke of the fact Bob was born in Salt Lake City and that he'd had a happy childhood in a good LDS home where he was taught to be faithful and prayerful. The family moved to Lehi when Bob was in the sixth grade. He was a sports enthusiast and participated in High School football, basketball, and Church Softball. His family often accompanied him on vactions to nature's wonderlands and the mountains where he could pursue hobbies of hunting and fishing. He received his college education at the Brigh-aYoung University and the University of Utah majoring in accounting. He was Production Foreman at General Refractories and had served as Office Manager and Shipping Foreman. His many assignments in the church included a California mission, serving in the Bishopric, Ward Clerk, District Officer of the Boy Scouts of America and was also an officer in the YMMIA. He was a High Priest Group Leader. His was a life of devotion to his church and family. One recent assignment which gave him a great deal of satisfaction was his duties as a temple worker. He was a talented workman, having built and designed his attractive home. Mrs. Burgess concluded the sketch by reading a poem entitled "I Follow A Noble Father." Speakers who eulogized Mr. Chatfield were Bishop J. Wendell Skinner, Patriarch Grant Christofferson and President Homer F. Royle. Each told of the gentleness and the qualities of love and friendship as lived by Bob. They admonished the huge congregation to "Be Ye Perfect Even as Your Father in Heaven is Perfect." Byron Memmott sang a vocal solo "Oh My Father." He was accompanied by Roberta Peterm get us what we need. Although handled by the Social Security Administration the SSI payment of up to $146.00 a month is not a social security payment, but rather is a payment from the general funds of the federal government to those with limited income and resources. To make certain that the right check goes to the right person, the social security office will contact SSI recipients in Utah County at least once each year. The purpose of the contact is also to determine whether the person is still entitled to SSI and is so, whether the amount of the check is correct. Such factors of entitlement as income, resources, living arrangements, marital status, etc. will be reviewed.
