The Santa Parade will begin at six p.m. at the high school and will travel through Main Street to Second West with the bewhiskered old gent riding high on the shiny red fire truck polished up for the grand occasion! He will arrive from the North Pole early enough to load his bags of candy to toss to the kids and adults alike. He was invited to Lehi by the Lehi City Council, sponsors of the parade. The city has also dressed up the town in it's gala holiday wrappings for the occasion. Highlights of the parade will be the appearance of the band, a group of young Senior Citito furnish zens, the s Christmas carols and many elves and other holiday recruits. The Council have also invited Santa Claus back on December 21st, a Saturday, for a 10 a.m. to 2..'10 p.m. afternoon appearance at the National Guard Armory. The Guard is helping to sponsor this happy event. Santa will visit and take orders from the boys and girls at that time. Don't forget, Santa will arrive via fire truck on December 14, at 6 p.m. Be sure and mind your P's and Q's and be very good boys and girls and be on hand for his visit! North Stake Priesthood Meeting Sun. General Priesthood Meeting for all Priesthood members in A the Lehi Utah North Stake will be held Sunday, it was reported by President F. Russell Hakes. It will begin at 8 a.m. in the Lehi Ward Meetinghouse and all Priesthood holders (Aaronic and Melchize-dek- ) in the stake are urged to attend. No Ward Priesthood meetings will be held. The mayor pointed out that the city does not allow any county connections to the system. If the area we re annexed to the city the connection could be allowed. Mr. Barnes would however have to extend the main line at his own expense. Mr. Barnes asked if the connection lees could be waived for the water and sewer connections if he were to extend the line and make the connections at his own expense. This has been the practice in the past. The council agreed to allow Mr. Barnes to extend the water and sewer main lines and to waive the connection fees, this to be effective only if the property is annexed to the city. The council felt annexation, if requested, would be approved and Mr. Barnes could start on die line work upon preservation of the petition and map for annexation. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Spotted and Allen Howe were present to i discuss the proposed "Alto Royal" subdivision. The plat was discussed and several recommendations made. Mr. Spot ten will prepare a more detailed plan and resubmit it to the Planning and Zoning Commission for consideration. Mayor Colledged reported that on the .'XKI East dram line, the ASCS funds to be received may not cover all of the cost of the pipe etc. He felt the city would have to put in about $.'i(XX) to pay all of the costs. He asked for the councils support on the project so it could be brought to a completion. Council members agreed that the city should pay the added cost if necessary to finish the project. The mayor discussed the formation of a Citizens Community Development Committee of 6 persons initially to begin work on a larger committee' lo assist in Ihe planning for the future' needs of the citizens and Ihe city. Legion to Sponsor Family Fun Night Monday Everybody loves a clown and Monday evening the whole family can enjoy an evening with Iacky the Clown and Santa Claus1 The American Legion is sponsoring this fun evening of family entertainment set to begin at 7 p.m. sharp at the high school. Inasmuch as Monday is Family Home Evening for most lehi folks, (he Legion suggests that you spend your home evening with Tacky and Company. and delightful entertainment is in store for all who atte nd. The funds earned will be used for Boys State and Girls Whole-som- Slate Programs. This will be the first of an annual Christmas Show lo be V sponsored by the Legion. A r ticket selling campaign has been underway by door-to-doo- local volunteers and each family contacted is being asked to support this very worthwhile projec t by purchasing a ticket to an evening of fabulous fun. Tacky the Clown in real life is Larry Emerson, a professional entertainer who has been in the business of making children happy for 39 years. Tacky's shows are famous from coast to coast and would be a perfect prelude to your holiday season. T he show was planned for Mon- day evening so the family can come together and spend their family evening with Tacky, Marvelous Marko, the great magician, and last, but not least, the jolly old elf, Santa Claus. There will be lots of audience participation and the Great Marko and his magic act will also depend on the audience for participants. The shows are loud, noisy and thrill packed. He suggested Blaine Adarnson Mayor appointed Blaine Adam-soto a two year term on the golf course committee effective January 1, 975 The council approved Adarnson's appointment. Morgan Evans was to be released from the committee as of December 31, 1974 with a vote of thanks for his service lo the Tri-Cit- sS t p r community.
