Show aim Community Becomes Involved in till use urn Benefit A COMMUNITY GETS INVOLVED citizens, clubs and organizations, through hours of and planning, have constructed and furnished a beautiful building to house the fabulous Hutchings collections. Continued support on the part of the citizens of Lehi is essential to make the Hutchings Museum, not just a part of the past, not just an important attraction of the present, but a continuing source of civic pride for all the years to come. "WHAT'S COOKIN' Bob and Phyllis Webb to Mrs. General Chairmen Plan Event - MUSEUM FOUNDERS Mr. and Mrs. John Hutchings pose amid their famous collections. Mr. Hutchings is seated in a chair once belonging to Porter Rockwell. The dynamic duo of Bob and Phyllis Webb are serving as general chairmen of this year's banquet. Both have willingly served in many leadership capacities in civic and church affairs in Lehi. They have asked June and Orlyn Davis to head the very important cookin' end of the affair. This energetic couple will prepare and help dish up delicious servings of succulent roast beef, cooked to a turn; fresh farm vegetables and tasty, scrumptious dessert. June and Orlyn have helped on the "Old Folks Committee" for many years. Orlyn is a school lunch worker, and both are truly expert cooks. Bob, Phyllis, and Orlyn invite you to "Come and see for yourself?" ? Here is the Couple Responsible for Collection "You Can See God's Handiwork in Everything" a boy he collected everything, seeds from weeds or flowers, pretty rocks, shells, bird eggs, arrowheads . John Hutchings, now 85 years young, still has an insatiable curiosity about all of earth and its offerings. As an artist wields a brush to create a masterpiece, so did John Hutchings wield this interest in nature's wonders to create an extraordinary collection for his community and his country. "If daddy says so, that's it!" "Eunice never complained about rocks, eggs or artifacts on the kitchen table, even while we were eating!" "Whatever John wanted to do was the rule." This harmony has been evident during John and Eunice Hutchings' 61 years of happily married life. The Museum is a result of their common goal. "Honest, wuz it really Porter RockewlPs?" "Jeepers, is this real gold?" "What kind of funny bird is this?" These are just some of the hundreds of questions excited children ask when they see the exhibits at the Museum. It has become an important part of their young lives. They are especially proud when they realize the Museum is a little bit "theirs." Parents can perpetuate their children's feeling of pride and joy in the Hutchings Museum by attending the banquet together. You receive so much by giving so little . . -- fl . " Center Pieces For Table Decorations The flowers are beautiful and so are Pat Fox and Gail Holbrook! They quickly said "yes", when asked to arrange a centerpiece for the dinner tables in the high school lunch room where the banquet will be held. Pat and Gail represent over 20 talented Lehi gals who will help with decorations for the big event. Pat is the wife of Brent and the mother of three cute little children. Gail is married to Steve Holbrook and they have two adorable chidren. Marlin and Donna Barnes and Joe and Penny Adamson head the 'fore's decorations committee. Follow the Crowd W V; to the .
