We were strangers, since I hadn't been in Lehi since 1924. We were looking for someone to tell us where the benefit dinner was held. My wife saw two men in a pickup truck. I stopped them and asked for directions. They said, "Just follow us." They took us right to the Salmon Fry. For the next three hours, everyone we met knew we were from Salt Lake and called us by name. We felt very much at home in Lehi. I have to confess I only remember people's faces and actions. We say thanks to those fine young folks who sang and danced for us. The cute white-hairyoung lady of 88, the announcer said, carried the alto part in several songs. This was so enjoyable. The congregational singing we joined in was so great because they sang songs I used to sing and liked very much. I have to go to work now but I would talk for two hours about the fine people of Lehi. We will be waiting to go to anything Lehi puts on. Thanks again to all who helped us to feel so much at home.
