Show THE Federal Outlays Total $46,979,000 In Utah County Utah County received $46,979,-00- 0 in Federal expenditures in fiscal 1968, it was reported this week by Utah Foundation, a private non, profit, public service agency. This was 4.48 percent of the total for the State of Utah. Federal outlays in the state totaled more than$l billion in 1968. This gave Utah thirty-eigh- th rank among the states in terms of Federal outlay, compared to rank by populaits thirty-nint- h tion the same year. Federal "outlays" include all Federal funds expended in the state, and embrace such things as civilian and military payrolls (and retirement pay), military contracts, Federally sponsored research projects, and Federal 1 o a n s in addition to direct grant-in-afor all purposes. totaled Federal grants-in-a- id about $140 million in 1968, and were analyzed in a recent Utah Foundation research report.
