This levy is five per cent lower than the 1967 levy. FIRE FIGHTING a Mayor Swenson presented fire fighting agreement with Utah for the consideration of the council. The agreement is similar to the one for the last several years. It sets a total of $60,000.00 in the county budget to be disbursed to the cities in the county for fighting county fires. The mayor was authorized to sign the agreement. STREET SUPT. Councilman Innes announced that, due to health reasons and upon the advice of his physician, Grant D. Smith is resigning from the position of superintendent in the street department. It was agreed to accept this resignation with a vote of thanks for his dependable and efficient service. Commissioner Roberts is also in charge of the Highway program in the county. Legion to Begin Hunter Safety Course August 14 ay The Hunter Safety Course, sponsored by the Lehi American Legion Post 19, will begin next Wednesday, August 14, and continue throughout Saturday, August 17. The classes will be held in the basement of the Memorial Building from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., each of the four nights. The registration fee is $1.00.
