Do you remember when we lost a great band (music) leader, Mr. Shaw, inourHighSchool? Well I do. Then there were quite a few years before we had anything you could call a leader. Then Paul Halversen came, put the band where it should be, got a drive going for uniforms, and woke up this town. He has been an inspiration to our music department, to our school, and also our community. And now after a few short years we are losing him. Our loss, their gain. We will miss him, but I wish him luck in the future years. A band teacher has a partner who is very seldom given any credit. I think Mrs. Halversen deserves a lot of credit.
