Growers are recommending that everyone with fruit trees on their lot or in commercial orchard be consciencious in either pruning and controlling insects and disease or removing the trees. Utan County beautifi cation committees are also urging individuals to remove useless trees and give proper care and insect control to all trees as a beautificatlon measure. Most fruit trees really aren't of much value to the owner for the fruit produced unless they are pruned, sprayed, and taken care of. Especially is this true of apples and pears where nearly 100 per cent of the fruit will be wormy if let go. For this reason the fact that insects migrate easily from the unsprayed trees to the commercial orchards, thus increasing substantially to the costs of growing fruit, all owners of trees are urgently requested to take care of their trees or remove them. People needing trees removed should get in touch with commercial tree removers or local groups wanting to cut for firewood.
