Show to a last minute disap pointment in the use of a con vertlble to propel the Lehl float with the Lehl Royalty, this lovely float with its attractive Lehl rep resentatives was not shown in the July 24 parade. Scheduled to appear on the float, designed in shades of lav endar and purple, were Miss Lehi Miss Beverley of 1966-6- 7, and the Lehl Roundup Royalty. These girls Include Miss Sue Williams of Salt Lake City, as queen; her attendants, Vir ginia Rice and Deanne Norm an, both of Lehl, and the girls who tied for "Miss Lehl Roundup" honors. These girls are Bonnie Sunderland and Lynette Hutch-ing- s, both skilled riders. Peterson of Lehl, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Mara Dee Peterson, to Jerald R. Hansen of American Fork. The couple are planning their wed ding in the Salt Lake Temple on Friday. August 25, with a recep tlon to follow. The prospective bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Glbbs Hansen, currently serving on an LDS 'work mission" in Indianapolis, Indiana. Miss Peterson graduated from the Lehl High School and LDS Seminary. She served as secretary for the National Honor Society and was voted the most outstanding Pepette in 1963. She graduated with high honors from Ricks Junior College lnRexburg, Idaho, where she was voted the most outstanding student in the business and economics department, In her sophomore year. While at Ricks, she was corres ponding secretary tor the Valkyries unit. She was also affiliated with Kappa Omega sorority, serving as social vice president. Continuing at BYU, she is following a major in business edu Lehi Gardener Has Easter Lily With 10 Blooms A most unusual feature for late July is a blooming Easter, out of doors. Mrs. Kate Smuln has such a plant, in full bloom in " her garden. The plant, a gift for Easter, 'had stopped blooming indoors. Mrs. Smuln set It out In her flower garden, where it surprised her with ten large and perfect white blooms. Joseph Calton Family Reunion A highly successful reunion of the Joseph Calton family was held Saturday afternoon in Wines Park, with 74 members present. Mrs. Joseph Calton and her family enjoyed exchange of news, with ball, games and races conducted for the younger members. Keith Calton of Lehl, served as the general chairman in charge. Members came from various sections of Utah and also Idaho and California. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Calton and family came from Bakerfield, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Rex Wilson and family from Rupert, Idaho. With them was their daughter-in-laMrs. Rex E. Wilson, Jr. Her husband is serving in Vietnam with the Marine Air Force.
