If it is necessary for a student to change his schedule, he is to contact one of the counselors on August 23, 24 or 25 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. Principal Price stated that no changes in class schedules would be made after school begins. On the first day of school, August 29, individual yearbook pictures will be taken for the ninth, tenth and eleventh grades. There will be no charge for these pictures. Boys are requested to come dressed in white shirts and ties and the girls in skirts and white blouses. Students desiring to make a down payment of $2.50 or full payment of $5 for yearbooks may do so on the first day of school. Plastic covers for the yearbooks may be ordered at the same time for 25 cents. Yearbook sales will also be conducted later in the year for students not desiring to buy one at this time. Recently the Alpine Board of Education adopted the following policy concerning student insurance: Each student who participates in physical education in the secondary schools must take the $1 insurance package unless the parents sign a request releasing him, indicating that the parent has an insurance program that will cover any student accident occurring during school hours. Students who participate in athletics will be required to carry athletic insurance. The minimum premium for participation in football is $8.50 and for an athletic program other than football, the fee is $6.50. No student will be permitted to in inter scholastic participate athletics who does not participate In this program. A letter will be sent to the students concerning this insurance program, together with an exemption form and application.
