June U. last Alpine School Dist. to Receive ft4lt' Federal Funds A total of 356,539 in Federal funds has been approved for three Utah projects according to an announcement recently by Sen. Frank E. Moss. Sen. Moss said that 325,000 in College Housing Loan Funds has been reserved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for Snow College at Ephraim. The funds will be used to construct anew: dormitory to house 112 men students. Sen. Moss said that 'while the project has not received final approval, it is virtually assured of this federal assistance." A total of $43,259 in Federal funds has been allocated to the Alpine School District at American Fork, as part of their share of PL-87- 4 funds from the U S. Office of Education. financial assistance for schools in federally affected areas. Alpine School District is entitled to an additional 14,420 during the present school year. Sen. Moss was also notified that the Office of Economic Opportunity has approved a volunteer training program for the Salt Lake area community action program amounting to Lt. Colonel (Ret.) Marcus Norberg Visits Lehi I 8 ill .M U v I Here from Bunker Hill, Indiana, are Lt. Colonel and Mrs. Marcus L. Norberg, and their daughters, Phyllis, BYU student, Vivian and Nina. Mrs. Norberg will be remembered as the former Helen Carlisle of Alpine. The family members are dividing their time with his mother, Mrs. L.M. Norberg, in Lehi, and with members of the Carlisle family, in Alpine. Lt. Colonel Norberg retired recently from the U.S. Air Force after serving since 1943. He was an instructor at Merced AFB, alif., during World War II, and as also traveled extensively ;he family has lived in Guam, Alaska, Texas and other locations, as well as. Indiana. Colonel Norberg has been in service in Eur ope,; Japan, Africa and other areas." He has received recognition for outstanding service on several occasions. With his family, he plans to make his home in Riverside, California. AND PEGGY PETERSON LOWE It's a girl for Lynn T. and Peggy Peterson Lowe, now of Springville. The black haired little newcomer arrived June 1, at Utah Valley Hospital. She weighed six pounds and thirteen ounces. Peggy Lynette is the name chosen for the baby, first child of the young couple. Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Peterson of Lehi, share grandpar- ents' honors with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lowe of Springville. BABY GIRL ARRIVES FOR JAMES AND DONNA MORRISSEY MARTIN Announcement is made this of the arrival of a new baby daughter for James and, Donna Morrlssey Martin. The newcomer, bom June 8, in a Salt Lake City hospital, has black, hair and will be named Donna' Ann. She weighed seven pounds and five ounces.
