He has served a strict Internship and successfully completed a comprehensive state examination before he was licensed to practice. Tassone, Ogden, President of the Utah Pharmaceutical Association cautions that: "There are times when patients Innocently jeopardize their health or life by taking proprietary preparations that are Incompatible with the prescription medication ordered by their physician. Today, proprietary preparations are readily available to the public through a variety of outletspharmacies, food stores, vending machines and, yes, even In gas stations. We agree with the pharmaceutical profession that no untrained or unskilled person can realize that two drugs taken together may be Incompatible or can estimate the possible consequences of Indiscriminate drug use. But the Week 1 pharmacist know. - President Tassone states that the pharmacy profession has proposed to Congress a re classification of drugs which would place potentially hazardous proprietary preparations under the control of a pharmacist and would make them avall- able only at pharmacies.
