The announcement is made by Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lennberg, parents of the bride elect. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Evans Ruth Robinson, Keith Glover Married Aug. 14 Mr. and Mrs. Max Merrywea-the- r are announcing the marriage of their daughter, Miss Ruth Robinson, to Keith Glover, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Glover, also of this city. Wedding vows were exchanged at the home of the bride, Tuesday, August 14, with Elder Hugh Otterson of the First Ward bishopric officiating. Close family members and friends were present. The bride was given in Fred marriage by her great-unclScown, who has been regarded as her grandfather for many years. The graceful young bride, who chose to be unattended, was attired in a ballerina length model of white tulle, accented by a corsage of red rosebuds. Her mother wore a beige sheath and Mrs. Glover, senior, chose a sheath dress of modish green. Their corsages were of white carnations. A four tiered wedding cake, prepared by Mrs. Don L. Peet, was topped with a miniature bride and groom and adorned with coral colored roses and wedding bells. Mrs. Roger Price and Mrs. Peet assisted in entertaining friends and neighbors who brought a lavish array of beautiful and useful gifts for the couple. The new Mrs. Glover, who came from London, England, has attended school in France, Germany and Canada, as well as England, traveling with her parents. While at the Lehi High School she was affiliated with the FHA and Biology Club. She is employed at Saratoga Resort. who graduated Mr. Glover, from the Lehi High School and LDS Seminary, follows employment with his father at their service station in Provo. While in high school, he sang in the chorus. A member of the National Guard, he has left to finish his six months tour of duty at Fort Ord, California. His bride will remain here until he completes his assignment and will continue her studies in the business field. e, of Lehi are the parents of the prospective bridegroom. Monday, August 27, is the date chosen for the wedding. A reception will honor the newlyweds that same evening at Crestwood Villa in Salt Lake City, with receiving from 8 to 10 p.m. Miss Lennberg, who graduated from the Jordan High School, has also graduated from the University of Utah with a major in dance education. While at the "U" she danced with the Orchesis in numerous productions and was choreographer for dance concerts. She will continue her studies during the coming year to attain her Master's degree in dance. An expert swimmer, she was a member of the University of Utah "Aqua-Maidsand is employed as swimming instructor during the summermonths for the sum-th- e summer months for the Jordan School District. Mr. Evans is an honor graduate of the Lehi High School where he participated in speech and drama, served on the yearbook staff and in student government activities. A senior at the University of Utah, he is majoring in English and Ballet. While at the "U" he dances as soloist with the University Theatre Ballet and also dances with the Orchesis (modern dance group). He has completed training in the Army R. O. T. C, and will graduate with a commission as Second Lieutenant. Self employed as a dance instructor during the past five years, he will continue with his schooling at the "U" this year. ," LT. COLONEL J. STERLING MERRELL MAKES SURPRISE VISIT HERE A very pleasant surprise visit for Mr. and Mrs. John Hutchings came with the arrival of their Lt. Colonel J. Sterling Merrell, last Tuesday morning at 2 a.m. He came by plane from Chicago, enroute to San Francisinsco, Calif., on a nation-wid- e pection tour. He had started from New York on Monday and is inspecting all of the major military installations in the United States. With his wife, the former Laurel Hutchings, and three daughters, Laurel Lee, Cindy and Becky, he is making his home in McLean, Virginia. The fpmily is active in LDS Church affairs. Gene and his family have now moved to Mid-vawhere he will teach in the elementary school. le FOX ROTHE FAMILY TAKES EASTERN TRIP Mr. and Mrs. Fon Rothe and chldren returned home Tuesday, after an extended trp to the East coast. They realized a long anticipated desire in visiting the many histoic shrines and monuments at Hill Cumorah, the Joseph Smith home and the Sacred Grove, as well as the many points of interest in New York City. The Heber C. Kmball home was included and they viewed the Kirtland Temple in Ohio and also saw the temple grounds at Nauvoo, 111. At Ottumwa, Iowa they were guests at the home of a former friend of Mr. Rothe's during his missionary experience, the T. R. Brown family. The family has joined the LDS Church and their son was going on a mission to Northern California. Elder Rothe was called on to speak at the meeting. Taking the southern route home, the Rothes stopped at Independence, Mo., and went through Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma making the trip by auto. They reported a most enjoyable two weeks, with weather conditions very favorable. Julie Forsberg of Bountiful, Cancer Society worker, shows part of 1384 bandages prepared by volunteers of the West Beaver, Utah, county unit. Bandages will be distributed without cost to cancer victims needing them, according to Mrs. Audrin Pexton, service director of the Utah Division, American Cancer Society.
