Eugene Webb Mr. Webb was born in Lehi, Sept. 26, 1881, a son of William and Harriett Grace Webb. He was married to Ann Elizabeth Smith, Feb. 22, 1905 in the Salt Lake Temple. Well known as a musician, he played in the Joseph H. Kirkham orchestra and also in the Lehi Silver Band for many years. He was active in church affairs and had served as a counselor in the YMMIA organization in his ward. A prominent fanner and stock-raisall of his life, he had also served as general watermaster for the Lehi Irrigation Co. for many years. He was also watermaster for the Provo Reservoir Co. and for the Highland Conservation District. Mr. and Mrs. Webb and their family have long been recognized for their musical ability and for the interest taken in promoting musical groups and activity. Survivors, besides his wife, are six sons and one daughter, President Armond E. Webb of tha Lehi Stake Presidency; Karl E. Webb, and Mrs. Jean L. (Zada) Phillips, Lehi; Ralph S., Provo; Boyd D., Salt Lake City; Dean and Russell B. S., Bountiful, Webb, Tremonton, Utah; 28 grand children, 15 three brothers, Jesse, Provo; Eli, Logan; and Ernest N. Webb, Lehi. Funeral services were held last Monday at 2 p.m. in the Second Wari chapel, with Bishop Kenneth. Singleton taking charge. The prayer with the family at the mortuary was spoken by Jean L. Phillips, a Mrs. Kaye Webb Scott, a grand daughter, played the organ prelude and postlude music and also served as the accompanist. President Frank W. Jones of the Lehi Stake Presidency, offered the invocation at the services. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Webb rendered a duet, "In the Garden." Dan Webb presented the biographical sketch and tribute. Addresses were heard from Bishop Singleton and President Virgil H. Peterson, with Stake President Herman C. Goates as the concluding speaker. As an interlude, Mrs. Sandra P. Blackhurst played an organ selection. The closing song was by Fred Webb, "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked." Bishop Cecil L. Ash, former bishop of the Second Ward, spoke the benediction. The grave in the Lehi cemetery was dedicated by Blaine Webb. Relief Society members cared for the flowers. Pallbearers were all grandsons, Keith Webb, Mark Webb, Bill Webb, Eugene Webb, Bruce Webb and Bradley Webb. Interment took place under the direction of the Wing Mortuary. er n; son-in-la- ATTEND LEADERSHIP MEET Among those who attended the leadership week courses at the Brigham Young University were the following: President and Mrs. Frank W. Berry, two, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glade Berry of Cedar Fort, underwent tonsilectomy on June 18. Mrs. Mark (Louise A.) Johnminor surgery on son underwent June 19. Mrs. Sylvia Hardman was admitted for medical treatment on June 19. 1 Sarah Jane Sabey, 87, who underwent treatment for fractures of the right leg at Utah Val ley Hospital, was admitted to the Lehi Hospital June 19. CHARLOTTE LEWIS VISITS WORLD'S FAIR Mrs. Charlotte Lewis has re turned home after two weeks in Toppenish, Wash., where she was the guest of her daughter, Ar-Mr. and Mrs. dith, and Ford Smith. The family group al so visited with Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Roberts, their daughter Sharon Smith, at Seattle. A highlight of her stay was the World's Fair where they spent three days, en joying the many attractions. The scientific displays were of keen interest to Mrs. Lewis. The group enjoyed dinner in the revolving restaurant atop the "Space Needle," where a magnificent view of the fair and the Seattle area was seen. The monorail was also enjoyed as a special feature. son-in-la- ATTEND MTJNNS REUNION Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Dansie and their granddaughter, Miss Sheila Dansie attended the James Munns family reunion Saturday, June 10. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Wells and son, David of American Fork. Their antics provided a comedy touch and as "hardrock miners from the North," they passed out candy to the littlest of the rodeo fans, children age six and younger, as "gold nuggets from the Lehi Riding Club." Mr. Peterson expressed appreciation for the participation of the queen contestants, stating that it was a difficult task for the judges to make their selec Mrs. Alma Barney, she is employed in Salt Lake City by the Mountain Fuel Supply Co. She is a graduate of the Lehi High School and was formerly chosen as queen for the rodeo staged by the Lehi Auxiliary Police. She has loved riding since a young child and has been affiliated with the Lehi Ladies Riding Club for several years. She was presented a handsome trophy. DELLA ZIMMERMAN, HAYDEE ADAMS TAKE HAWAIIAN TOUR Mrs. Delia Zimmerman and Mrs. Haydee Adams have return ed after taking a delightful 14 day tour of the newest state, Hawaii. They were included in a Morley tour, leaving from Provo, with 11 in the local group. Going by bus to Burbank, Calif., they took the plane to Oakland where the other members of the group joined them. Going to Honolulu by plane, they toured Pearl Harbor by boat and also visited the LDS Temple and church college. Plane trips were also taken to the other islands, Maui, Hilo, where they toured the pineapple plantations; Malukala, where the leper colony was included, and Kona where they viewed the fishing boats with their tuna catch. They viewed the Buddhist temples and also had the experience of walking through the famous volcano "tube" which is perfectly rounded, for a distance of about five blocks. They enjoyed dinner with Miss Kay Smith and Miss Shirley Skin ner of Lehi, and attended church services in the tabernacle. The ladies enjoyed the ocean at the beaches each day and report a most enjoyable trip. Charleen Eggleston, Sandy.
