This was a principal event of the annual inaugural banquet held at the National Guard armory, Wednesday, May 23. Guest speaker for the occasion was Jan Christensen of Sugar House, Jaycee international chairman for Utah. He recently returned from the World Congress held in Porto Rico, where the force of the Jaycees and their opportunity to aid in the world crisis was stressed. Mr. Christensen will also attend the world Jaycee conference in Hong Kong, China, during the latter part of the year. Included at the affair were the Jaycee members and Jaycettes who took charge of decorations and also prepared and served a hot chicken dinner. Special guests of the evening were the three winners in the Lehi "Road-e-o- " safe driving contest for teenagers, Anthony Banks, Brian Burgess and Miss Kathleen Holmstead, first, second and third place winners, respectively. Fork Canyon Open For Fishing arts Monday The Lehi City summer recreation program will begin Monday, June 4, it is announced by Recreation Director Elmo Gray. A wide variety of recreational features will be included, with Phil Oyler assisting in carrying out the overall program. Swimming Swimming classes at Saratoga will again be featured, with the resort providing the instructors. Boys and Girls age 8 and over will be included and the fee will be 25 cents per person each time. Parents are reminded to provide their children with swim suits and towels. All participants will take part in classes at the pool. Further information will be announced next week concerning the baseball and other programs, Mr. Gray reported, stressing that he would like to see every boy and girl in the city taking advantage of the training for recreation and physical development. Dancing Classes Instruction in tap dancing and ballet will be given at the Lehi Elementary School' by ' Mrs. Kath-ry- n Dorton. The fee for the 10 lesson course will be $1 per child.
