Committee to Sell Lehi Centennial History Boob as Fund Project A to golden opportunity obtain some $4000 through the sale of copies of Lehi's "Centennial History," is announced this week by the Hutchings Museum Board of Trustees. The Centennial Committee has authorized the Museum Board to sell as many of these histories as they can before the museum is completed. The books tire paid for, leaving the entire sale as profit Benarr T. Judd has consented to serve as chairman for this fund raising project' It will be recalled that the centennial edition of the Lehi History was published in 1950, and that at that time many of them were sold. However, some 800 books were left with the city to be sold. The stipulation was made that the money would be used for some worthwhile historical project in the city. The Hutchings Museum is rated as just such a vital his' torical project Goal in Sight "Our Goal is in Sight" is the slogan stressed by Mr. Judd this week in extending an urgent, invitation to every family in the city to aid in this project benefit themselves or their family members or friends and at the same time help get the museum building completed. $5 Per Copy The price of the books will remain at $5 each it is announced, a very moderate price for the book which was very carefully written and checked and rechecked for Illustrations are extensive and include many heirloom pictures as well as views and part-rait- s obtained currently at t h e time. It is an authentic reference book concerning the development of Lehi as a city, the industries found in the area, the origin and growth y. of clubs and organizations and the dates concerned in family records. Incorporated in this centennial publication is the original history of Lehi, with further information added to bring it up to the 1950 date. Composition throughout is in an interesting style, easy to read. Printed on high quality paper, the book is bound in a durable black cover, attractively embossed with a pioneer scene. Aa Ideal Gift Mr. Judd points out that families would do well to send copies to their children who live in other locations. The book will be priceless to them. There will be no more copies published so the book will soon become a collectors' item. It is expected that the sale will go forward rapidly, so it will pay to take early advantage of the opportunity to obtain this worth while volume for the libraries of the younger family members. They will be amazed at the information included and the wealth of pic-tonal material. They will find pic tures and accounts of their ancestors and many of the most prominent people of Lehi today and of the past 1m dft 4wti Serving Lehi Northern Gateway to Beautiful Utah Valley Volume LEHI, UTAH.
