Show Combined PTfl Meet Features Panel Discussion To Wed Jan. A panel composed of two students, two parents and two was featured at the com- bined Junior and Senior high school P.T.A. meeting last Monday, Jan. 15. These included Mrs. Ralph Powell, Neldon Evans, Miss Nonne Fox, Herbert Stratton, Wanda Allen and Mont Peterson. Topics discussed included Home Work. Students Dress, Attitude and Manners between Student and Teacher, and Drivers Licenses for Teen Agere. Mrs. Valno Peterson Junior High P.TA. president, and Mrs. Joseph Zupan, president of the Senior High School P.T.A., were in charge. Also assisting were Mrs. Dee Colledge and Mrs. Dale Clark, program chairmen, who arranged for the panelists and other features of the program. Mrs. Zupan conducted the meeting. The meeting attracted a large crowd of parents and there was much rapid fire participation from the assemblage when the various topics were introduced. Dean Worlton of , the district office, served as moderator for the panel. Mrs. Lester Holcomb, representing the Room Mothers, and Mrs. Rex Zimmerman, hospitality chairman, greeted the parents at the door. The colors were posted and the assemblage led in the pledge to the flag by Cub Scouts of Den 7, Pack 1. They were directed by their Den Mother, Mrs. Dean Kirkham. A special program number was o duet played by the Kathryn Wanlass and Patricia Brown. Prayers were offered by Dean Welch and Dee Colledge. Appreciation was expressed to all those who aided in the success of the evening, with a special thank you to the school principals, Dale Price and J. Ferrin Gurney. Adding interest to the occasion was the display of paintings, a gift of Sarah Taylor Lester. Founders' Day The annual Founders' Day program is scheduled for- Monday, Feb. 19, the actual anniversary of Founders' Day. The entire P.TA. council of Lehi and Cedar Fort will for the occassion which wil take place at the Sego Lily School. Mrs. Homer Trinna man, Sego Lily P.T.A. president, will take charge. Goates of Downey, Calif. The prospective bridgroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Raeldon K. Goates. Marriage vows will be exchanged Friday, Jan. 19, in the Third-Sevenward church, with Bishop L. Carlos Coates officiating. Open House Reception An open house reception will follow the ceremony, with all friends and relatives cordially invited to attend. Receiving will be from 8 p.m. to 10 pjn. A French continental theme will be followed, with white doves and white roses highlighting the decorations. A tiered wedding cake will be displayed. The graceful young bride has chosen for the occasion a gown of pure silk bombazine and chan-till- y lace. "The tiered skirt is very full and sweeps into a chapel train. Pearls and sequins adorn both bodice and skirt The square neckline and long sleeves, ending in dainty points at the wrists, are attractive details. The elbow lengih veil of sheerest illusion will be supported by a coronet of pearls and sequins. White rosebuds will compose the bridal bouquet. Attending the bride will be Mrs. Rex L. Burnham, matron of honor; Miss Donna Goates, sister of the bridgroom, maid of honor, with Mrs. Mike Mellor, Miss Darlene Norris and Miss Janeen Peterson. Attired in frocks of peau de soi with French full skirts, they will hold roses. Adding to the interest of the occasion will be the small ring bearers, Julia Ann Goates, sister of the bridgroom,' and Brent Barnes, cousin of the bride. The mothers of both bride and groom have chosen brocaded satin dresses with matching corsages. Lou DeLeau will perform, best man's duties, while the bride's brother, Rodney Edwards will also assist in the receiving. Ushers will be Guy Edwards, Paul Sorenson, Marlin Barnes and Joe Adamson. Caring for the guest book will be Mrs. Dale R. Thompson in charge of the gift room will be Mrs. Irvin Johnson and Mrs. Roy-mon-d Saddler, Mrs. Herbert Edwards will take charge of hostess duties. Also assisting will be Miss Jane Lott, Katherine Smuin, Donna Nelson Lorna Coates, De-anWebb, Mrs. Rex Scott and Mrs William G. Powell. Favorite selections will be played during the receiving. Her counselors were Ardell Zimmerman and Maxine Verville. Ardell Zimmerman was sustained as president, with counselors, Maxine Verville and Willa Wing. In the YWMIA, La Deane Peterson was released from the position of manual counselor and Margaret L. Thomas was sustained. The president is Donna Norman and Shirley Haws is the activity counselor. Luncheon at Alpine Country Club Set Today Ladies of the Alpine Country Club are invited to book passage for the 1962 cruise aboard the S. S. "Friendship."
