He then went to London, England, by plane, and spent considerable time in sightseeing. Mitchell, who was named procedure planner af ter serving in the Geneva Works accounting department since 1950. Born in Lehi, Mr. Mitchell attended the University of Utah, where he received a B. Cub Scout Pack Two Assigns Goodyill Fund to Museum Benefit Highlight of the Pack meeting of Cub Scout Pack No. 2, was the presentation of the Pack Good will Fund as a Hutcfiings Museum benefit Russell Innes. hoard nres- ident and R. Mr. Brems explained that the $10 presented from the pack rep resents a percentage of their regular weekly dues of 10 cents each. Each boy pays 10 cents per week as a membership fee, and about 10 per cent of the amount is toward the, "Goodwill Fund." The boys decided that the most fitting and timely use for this fund, at this time, would be to aid in construction of the museum. The boys have had the experience of touring the museum at the Hutchings home and have enjoyed the talks and explanations given by John Hutchings, naturalist and collector. Elder Wathen had experience of traveling to the East coast by train, and overseas by boat. The return trip was made by jet flight requiring only seven hours from London to New York. Family members met him at the airport in Salt Lake City, and all joined at a buffet dinner and visiting throughout the day at the Included M. W. Wathen home. ar ed Region Seven Choral Festival will be held here at the Lehi High School auditorium, Wednesday, April 12, it is announced by Mel-vi- n P. Burton, high school choral director. The public is invited to attend for an outstanding musical event. The festival will begin at 9:30 a.m., and will continue for some two and a half, hours. It will include singing groups from American Fork, Pleasant Grove and Lehi high schools; from B. Y. high school, St Francis in Provo, and Tintic high school. O. Dale Blackburn, Judge O. Dale Blackburn, music director of the Ogden High School, will adjudicate the event, according to Mr. Burtoa Ratings of first second and third places will be given for the performances. A'cappella Choir to Sing The A'cappella choir will be the performing group from the Lehi High School and they will provide several selections. This will provide an opportunity for those unable to attend their concert last Thursday evening, to hear this fine local group. The Thursday concert was highly successful, with S harmony and performance unusually well coordinated for an outstanding program, as a highlight , They reported a valuable and informative experience in becoming better acquainted with the very fine facilities and training opportunities available at the school. I District Offers Adult-Hig- h: School Diplomas Diplomas certifying graduation from high school will be awarded to seven adults in Alpine School District this spring. This is the first adult high school in Utah County at which adults will be granted regular high school diplomas. These seven students will fulfill a life time dream made possible through the inauguration of the Adult High School of Alpine School District last fall. Classes in English, American History, Practical Mathematics, and General Science have been taught by Estelle Fenton and Owen Ben-nio- n and held at Pleasant Grove Junior High School The gradu- ates are part of approximately 30 students who have registered during the year for high school com- pletion courses. A Warning to Dog Poisoners Continuing the drive against malicious dog poisoning, it is announced by Lehi City this week that dog poisoners will be prosecuted. This act is a felony, it is pointed out, and a penalty of three years in prison and or $300 fine can be levied to those persons found guilty of this crime, which may be death dealing to young children, as well as dogs. llpl!ll lllilllw 8k. ? Elder ElRoy Colledge is currently serving hi the Rarotonga Mission in the Cook Islands. The congregation will sing the opening song at the meeting. "Praise to the Man." John Beal will offer the invocation. As the sacramental song, the choir will sing, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives." Following the sacrament service, Elder Dwayne Colledge will speak.
