VTAU Lehi Democrats Civil Air Patrol Names Officers The Lehi Unit of the Civil Air Patrol announced this week the officers and personnel of the newly organized "Senior Squadron." The Commander of the Unit will be Ralph Roberts, the Executive Officer will be Kent Beck. Dewey Nielsen will handle the Public Information aspect of the group. Other officers will be Ramon Wat kins. Chaplain; Safety, Victor Kolon; Administration and personnel. Knollin Haws and Ret-t- a Turner; Legal, Don Jones; and Motor Maintenance, Curtis Beverly. Meetings are held each Thursat squadday evening at 7 p-ron headquarters, which is the building on Main Street which formerly was the Bishops Warehouse. The squadron is starting to get some of the equipment it will have. It took delivery of a staff car and weasel during the week. Applications are being taken by the squadron for women members, Finance, Ken Whimpey; Medical, two ladies have joined already. Organize Dean Prior was precinct chairman Monday night at a meeting of Democrat party members, held immediately following the mass meeting of the party faithful. Beth Young was elected Vice Chairman succeeding Delia Zimmerman who has rendered ed faithfully for the past several years. B. J. Lott was Treasurer and Alvin Schow Secretary. The convention endorsed Harvard Hinton's bid for Secretary of State, and pledged an all out effort in his behalf. They will play the champs of the Provo Stake, the third ward team will play the American Fork Tenth Ward to see who will go to Division play.
