Reclamation to Open Central Utah Projects Office at Provo Soon The new Central Utah Projects Office of the Bureau of Reclama tion will be established at Provo, as soon as arangements can be made. Regional Director E. O. Lar son announced today in Salt Lake City. John J. Iledderman has been appointed as Projects Manager to head the new office, Mr. Larson said. Mr. Hedderman has been Supervisor of the Division of Irriga-t:o- n in the Salit Lake City Regional Office for the past 2Vt years. 'The new Central Utah Projects Office is being set up to handle the rapidly expanding planning an J construction program of the Bureau of Reclamation in the central part of the State of Utah," Mr. Larson said. Included under the new office are the vast Central Utah and the Emery County Projects which were authorized for construction in 1956 as part of the Upper Colorado River development. In addition, several operating Federal Reclamation Projects will CDme under the Central Utah Proj ects Office. UTAH CLUB HOLDS LUNCHEON FOR MOTHERS ' Club The Kitchen Clean 4-- H ' en- tertained their mothers at a lunchh eon in the ward chapel last Tuesday. The guests were served at a long serving table, decorated with red and white flowers in blue vases, which was very attractive. The girls gave a short program in which Elaine Trinnaman gave the welcome. Peggy Peters then led the pledge. The prayer and blessing was given by Mrs. Trinnaman. The girls sang a song, "Club Days," after which a lovely luncheon was served. Club leaders are Mrs. Betty Powell and Mrs. Ruth Wilcox. Club reporter is LoRae Powell. Third-Sevent- Seventh Ward Elders to Party The Seventh Quorum of Elders will hold a steak fry at the Wines Park on Tuesday, August 4. This fry is for all Elders of the ward and partners. Ehlers of Lehi, serving aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS Midway, took part in a full-sca- le naval review and visit to San Francisco, Calif., July 17-2after completing a major exercise held off the California coast. The 15,000 men and 26 ships of the U.S. First Fleet were reviewed by Admiral Herbert G. Hopwood, of USN, the Commander-in-Chie- f the U.S. Pacific Fleet, as they passed under the Golden Gate bridge. The exercise which preceeded the San Francisco visit involved fastmoving aggressive attack carrier teams which struck at simulated mainland targets as naval air patrol squadrons and submarines held the defenseive roll.
