Show f HE Alpine School Board Members Attend Workshop Ralph H. Peters To Seek County Assn. to Sponsor Members of the Alpine School District Board of Education attended the Region IV Workshop Ralph H. Group discussions and work meetings were held wherein board members identified the most critical problems that exist in the working relationships of the boards of education and superintendents of schools and offered workable solutions to resolve them. Mr. Peters served five years on the Orem police force, two of these as Chief of Police, before becoming a deputy in the Utah County Sheriff's office, where he has served for the past five years. He is president of the Central Utah Peace Officer's Association having served previously as a dir ector and He is also secretary of the Utah Crime Commission, an office to which he has been elected four times in succession. He has been a member of the Utah State Peace Officer's Association for the past ten years. Mr. Peters is considered one of the top traffic men in this area. He has conducted many criminal investigations that are on file in the county, and is an expert in Essay Contest All students between the ages of 15 to 18 years of age inclusive are invited to enter the county-wid- e essay contest on the subject "Mental Health No. 1 Problem in Our Nation." The American Legion Auxiliary of District No. 4 in cooperation with the Utah County Association for Mental Health, contest sponsors, are offering $15 for the best essay and $10 for the second best essay.
