Show LEHI FREE PRESS, LEHI, I'TAH Relief Society Stake Officers Honor Retiring Board at Party President Ruby Nielsen and her counselors, Thelma Webb and Lexia Whipple, and Secretary Barbara Lewis, executive officers of the Stake Relief Society Board, headed the group in charge of en-- 1 tertaining the retiring board mem-- 1 bers. The affair was held in Wines Park, Tuesday afternoon and featured a luncheon, program and honorary presentations. Chorister Vera Trane directed group singing and announced the program which included trio selections by Doris Peterson, Donna Little and Willa Wing; a reading, Ruth Stone, and vocal solos by Ada Robinson. Former President Lilith Peck directed a skit in which retiring members of the board presented the "key" of office to their successors, adding a few words of advice. j Lehi Library Adds New Mrs. Peck and her former counselor, Liliane Anderson, were each presented an attractive vase and keepsake tokens were given to the former board members, Monica Peterson, Ada Robinson, Mary Anderson, Hazel May Bone, Doris Ruth Peterson, Stone, Norma Webb and Irene Wilson Current members, all of whom assisted in preparations are Vera Trane, chorister; Betha Gunther, organist; Rose Ashton, magazine director; Maria Bray, Theology; Edith Singleton, Teachers Topic; Elaine Roberts, literature; Ila Swenson, social science; Reva Had-fielwork director. Prayers were offered by Maria Bray and Thelma Webb. It was planned to make the affair an annual event. d, Utah County Farm Bureau Outing At Saratoga Friday, August 12 The annual outing for Utah County Farm Bureau members and their families will be held at Saratoga, Friday, August 12, and will include competitive activities for young people from 18 to 28 years of age. The contests are open to all young people included in this age group whose parents are members of the Farm Bureau. Contests will include the Rural Talent Find, for vocal and instrumental selections, solo or ensemble, dancing, reading or novelty stunts. Five minutes is the time limit for each number. The Rural Youth Talk Meet will feature talks on the subject, "Developing and Expanding Agricultural Markets," and should not exceed five minutes in length. Winners will compete in the State meets to be held in early September at the State Fair grounds. Those wishing to enter the contests or receive further information may contact, Fon Rothe, local Farm Bureau president, or Mrs. Margaret Bromley of Provo. State winners will participate in Riding Club Meet August 5, 6 The District IV division of the Utah State Western Riding Clubs Association, will hold their annual meet, Friday and Saturday, Aug. at the Utah County Fairgrounds in Provo. On Friday, the meet will begin at 8 p. m. and on Saturday events will get underway at 5:30 p. m. The public is invited to attend and children under 12 years will be admitted free if accompanied by an adult.
