Show THURSDAY, JTXE 80, 1955 LEHI FREE PRESS, LEHI, UTAH Inabelle Timpson, Tony Ferkovich Family Leaves For Alaska Lehi Native, Dies In California Mrs. Inabelle Thomas Timpson, 66, Lehi Native, died at Long Beach, California, following surgery. Born in Lehi, November 11, 1888, she was a daughter of John J. and Myra Clark Thomas. She was married to Hyrum E. Timpson, December 15, 1915. He pas -sed away August 31, 1938. They had also lived in Salt Lake City and Price. Mrs. Timpson spent her childhood in Lehi and attended the Lehi Schools. A member of the LDS Church, she was a former choir singer and for many years was greatly in demand as a soloist for many church and community occasions. Both she and her husband were employees of the American Railway Express Company for many years, the greater part of the time at Salt Lake City, and in Carbon County. For the past five years, she had made her home in Long Beach, California., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alta Larsen. She is survived by two daughters from a former marriage, Mrs. Larsen, Long Beach, and Mrs? Doris Forsyth, Idaho; two grandchildren and three greatone brother and grandchildren; four sisters, J. J. Thomas, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ethel T. Goates, Mrs. Genevieve T. Gray and Mrs. Beulah Evans, Lehi; Mrs. Myra Anderson, Sandy; and a half sister, Mrs. Eva T. Sutherland, To- A. J. (Tony) Ferkovich, Lehi police officer for the past two years, and prominent painter and decorator, left Sunday morning with his family for Palmer, Alaska. Making the trip by motor, they will travel over the Alaskan highway, through Montana and Canada, the trip requiring nine days. They will take over the operation of a 30 apartment motel and will live neighbors to a sister of Mrs. Ferkand brother-in-laovich, Bishop and Mrs. Stewart Durrant, formerly of American Fork. Bishop Durrant is in charge of a large cooperative there, which includes a store, creameries, farm implement concern and other divisions. All are. active in LDS church affairs. Apostle Adam S. Bennion presided over the conference held there recently and participated in ground breaking ceremonies for the proposed new chapel. Bruce Peterson of Lehi, is also located in Palmer, employed for the summer. Mrs. Ferkovich, the former Ardith Goates, is a former reporter for the Lehi Free Press, and has, with her husband, been active in church and community affairs. PULHAMS A baby son, weight 5 lbs. 8 Old Tri-Sta- ke Folks Meet Attracts Over 600 Over 600 attended the annual summer Old Folks party which was held last Wednesday in Lehi Wines Park. Weather conditions were ideal and a colorful decorative theme added interest to the occasion in which those over 60, widows and widowers of Lehi, Alpine and Timpanogos Stakes participated. Bishop Harold W. Barnes, Lehi stake chairman, and the local committees comprised the host committee in charge. Stake presidencies and bishoprics and their partners were included in the fete. A count of 214 was taken representing the Lehi Stake, with comparative numbers in attendance from the neighboring stakes. The gathering began at 11:30 a. m., followed by dinner at 12:30 p. m. Chairman Barnes conducted the day's events. The invocation and blessing on the food was offered by Stake President Herman C. Goates. Bishop E. B. Garrett gave the speech of welcome and Elisha Boley of the Alpine Stake, gave the response. Bishop Barnes introduced the chairmen of the other committees, Alton Storrs of the Alpine Stake, and Paul Adamson of the Timpanogos Stake. Each spoke briefly. An interesting program featured talent representing the various communities of the three stakes. A vocal solo by Gwen Lewis was accompanied by Mrs. Floyd Lewis. ozs., arrived for Mont A. and Rhea Featherstone Pulham, June 18, in the Holy Cross hospital in Salt Lake City. Mother and baby are doing well. Eagerly waiting to greet the newcomer at home are a sister, Mary Ann and a brother David. There are 10 married brothers and sisters. Pleased grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Christensen of Provo, visited the family. They have recently returned from a 30 months mission in Denmark. Pari and Jovce Mayne of Am erican Fork are the parents of a baby daughter, born June 21. JUNE S. ARAVE HAS NEW SON It's a boy for Marshall and June Sunderland Arave of Magna.
