' ' Letition Club Looks Forward to Federation Soon "We, the members of the Letit-ia- n Club, realizing that in order to grow and develop mentally, we must mingle socially and exchange views, do hereby form an associ. ation for such a purpose. Such is the preamble for the Letitians who are currently directed by Mrs. Leo J. Brown as president, with Mrs. Gary Cooper, Mrs. Richard Evans, secretary; Mrs. ' Bill Darling treasurer; Mrs. Lawrence Evans, program chairman; Mrs. vice-preside- Wesley Turner, gift chairman; Mrs. Ralph Mitchell and Mrs. Robert Crookston, civic committee. Mrs. George Tripp is litany chairman, Mrs. Ned Wilson, reporter, and Mrs. Richard Worthen, historian. The club was sponsored by the Serimpian Club in 1952. Past presidents are Mrs. Ralph Mitchell and Mrs. Don Peterson. Taking an "interest in civic affairs, the club lias supported the polio, tuberculosis fund and other drives. Representatives regularly attend meetings of the Women's Legislative Council in Provo, and give reports on the proceedings. Members have assisted in the cemetery beautification and cleanup. Book reviews and lectures and discussion of current topics make up the programs. The Mothers Tea, held May 20, was an outstanding success. Fruit and vegetables and toys were brought by the members. All in the group are young mothers and take a keen interest in the schools. As this year's project they have chosen the purchase of school supplies, the exact grade not yet selected. These will be the "extras" which add so much to the classroom.
