Show ixm fuse press, ixm. ltaii Know About Your Lehi Roundup ... Editor's note: This is the third in a series of articles pertaining to the famous Lehi Roundup. In cooperation with Dean Prior, publicity chairman of the Roundup, the Free Press will try to acquaint its readers with some of the problems involved in producing the annual show. A recent article in a national magazine featured the work of Rodeo Slim Pickens, a Clown who is well known to patrons of the Lehi Roundup. The article stressed the importance of the clowns' work to the rodeo, particularly when the wild Brahma Bull riding events take place. In those events, the clown is responsible for protecting a cowboy who has been thrown, and many cowboys owe their lives to the daring and agility of the rodeo clown. The bulls, enraged at being tightly cinched and tormented, turn on the tormenter with the idea of paying off the debt The clown then comes in to divert the bull's attention and give the rider a chance to make his getaway. This is only one of the clown's tasks. Like the circus clown, he must keep the show doing during top-ranki- E.
