After the wedding the group enjoyed a wedding breakfast at a Logan cafe, arranged by the parents of the groom. The gardens of the bride's parents were the background for a lovely reception honoring the the following evening. The bride wore a gown of antique with princess tissue, fashioned lines flowing into a deep fold skirt of floor length, which dipped to a chapel train. The bodice had a low scoop neckline, short sleeves, and embroidered roses of seed pearls with crystal iridiscent accents. Her shoulder length veil fell from a Queen Anne scalloped tiara with pearl and sequin trim. Her bouquet was a single white orchid surrounded by stephanotis. She wore a single strand of pearls, which was worn by her mother and her sisters. Her sisters, Mrs. Robert in yellow nylon organdy, and Mrs. Robert Josie, in pink nylon organdy, were matrons of honor. Other attendants were Mrs. J. L. Thorne, in azure blue, Mrs. Dean Welch, in sea green, Mrs. Val Storrs, in teal blue, Mrs. William Trimble and Miss Ann Mathews, in rose beige, and Miss Marcia Ann Chipman, in pale ballerina length orchid, wore gowns with bridal picture hats fashioned by the bride's mother. The attendants each carried nosegays of Johanna Hill pink roses and varied carnations. Best man was the brother of the groom, Gene Evans. Ushers were Gary Evans, Dr. J. L. Thorne, and Jerry Butts. Mrs. Thorne wore a frock of pink nylon voile, and Mrs. Evans was in pale lavender linen. The bride is a graduate of Pleasant Grove high school, and attended Brigham Young University last year. She is at present employed by the Bank of Pleasant Grove. Mr. Evans attended Lehi high school, where he was student body president during his senior year. For two years he has attended Utah State University at Logan in the school of engineering.
